Open Discussion: What’s the number one reason your best friend is your best friend?

I’d say that my best friend (Eddie) is my best friend because he knows me better than anyone else, and still accepts me completely.  I think that’s pretty damn awesome. ^_^

How about you? If you currently don’t have a best friend, what’s a must-have attribute that best friends need?
